    White Peak Distillery releases the third batch of their Wire Works Whisky Small Batch, this time at a strength of 46.2% ABV. Wire Works batch 3 is a lightly-peated single malt whisky from a small batch vatting of American and French oak casks, the spirit has been fully matured in predominantly STR casks.

It is said to be representative of The GlenAllachie house style and the direction Billy Walker is taking the distillery's flavour profile.

    Douglas Laing has unveiled a second limited edition expression of The Epicurean Glasgow Edition, like the first release under this title, back in 2018, the new The Epicurean Glasgow Edition has been bottled at Cask Strength. Tasting notes are said to reveal 'fresh fruits with lashings of runny honey and sweet raspberry jam', a dram the Douglas Laing team describe as a 'spectacular melody of sweet flavours'.

    The Largest Bottle Of Scotch Whisky In The World Sells For Ł1.1m
    The world's largest bottle of Scotch whisky,
    The Intrepid, which stands at 5ft 11 inches tall and filled with 311 litres of The Macallan 32 Year Old single malt whisky which was distilled at the prestigious The Macallan distillery in Speyside in 1989, has sold for Ł1.1m ($1.375m) after going under the hammer live online today 25th May at international auctioneers Lyon & Turnbull.

The unpeated single malt was distilled back in 1974, matured in American oak casks for 44 years, followed by a further two years maturation in a combination of first fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks.

Update - it has now been revealed as a 5 year old single malt whisky which was distilled at Ardnamurchan distillery.
