Bruichladdich launches ready to drink
cocktails featuring their Botanist gin,
Classic Laddie and Port Charlotte single
malts.

Islay distillery Bruichladdich has
launched its inaugural ready-to-drink (RTD)
cocktail collection, developed in
partnership with RTD specialist Whitebox.
The new range comprises four cocktails:
a Dry Martini and a White Negroni
crafted with their Botanist gin, a
Whisky Sour featuring Bruichladdich's
signature The Classic Laddie single
malt, and a Penicillin made with their
Port Charlotte peated single malt
whisky.
Positioned at the premium end of the RTD
market, the cocktails have been released
at relatively high alcohol strengths.
The Dry Martini leads the range at 33.9%
ABV and is intended to be served
straight from the freezer. The White
Negroni is bottled at 21.8% ABV, while
the Penicillin and Whisky Sour come in
at 22.5% ABV and 19% ABV respectively.
The launch is part of Bruichladdich's
broader innovation programme, coinciding
with the distillery’s 25th anniversary
celebrations.
Global marketing director at
Bruichladdich Gareth Brown said: "The
ready-to-serve category has evolved
significantly, and there’s now a clear
opportunity at the premium end for
products that genuinely reflect the
quality of the underlying spirit.
"What's exciting about this range is
that it allows us to showcase The
Botanist, Classic Laddie and Port
Charlotte in a completely new context,
without compromising on flavour or
integrity.
"Working with Whitebox was critical –
their understanding of cocktail
structure and balance, combined with our
focus on ingredient provenance and
distillation, has enabled us to create
drinks that feel authentic to both
worlds."
Whitebox co-founder Josh Rennie
highlighted the shared approach between
the two companies, stating: "We turn
down almost every collaboration
opportunity, so for us this had to be
about more than putting a name on a can.
With Bruichladdich, there was a genuine
alignment around quality, provenance and
doing things properly.
"There's historically been a disconnect
between distilleries and the RTD
category. Most ready-to-drink products
are made far away from the source of the
spirit. What we’re doing is bringing
those worlds back together.”
The introduction of the new range comes
as consumer demand for RTD beverages
continues to grow, with the category
attracting increasing interest from both
producers and drinkers.
