Recommended Malt Whisky:

Ardbeg Uigeadail
A fine drop of Ardbeg bottled at cask strength. A marriage of Ardbeg from bourbon barrel and sherry butt which gives a sweet and smokey finish to this malt. Uigeadail is the loch from which all Ardbeg water flows. This year's batch of Uigeadail has more sherry influence and is an absolutely stunning whisky.

Dalmore King Alexander III
To make this Dalmore King Alexander III, Master Distiller Richard Paterson has selected a range of differently-aged malts matured in a mixture of French wine casks, Madeira drums, Sherry butts, Marsala barrels, Port pipes and Bourbon barrels from Kentucky. A remarkable feat of blending.

Talisker 25 Year Old
Released in 2004, this beautifully orchestrated Talisker 25yo, has a full, generous palate, with hot spices balanced by delicious shortbread & syrupy notes. A really awesome malt from a remarkably reliable distillery.

Macallan 21 Year old / Fine Oak
Matured in mixture of sherry and bourbon casks. This range has been around for a few years now and seems to have weathered the storm it caused amongst the faithful when it was initially released.

Mortlach 1971 32 Year Old
A very rare distillery bottling of Mortlach, one of the most under-rated Speysides around. This 1971 vintage was released a few years ago as part of Diageo's 'Superpremium' series.

Bunnahabhain 25 Year Old
A more sherried style, with the soft, creamy complexity and gentle, sophisticated palate and mouthfeel that Bunna's aficionados treasure. Handsomely presented, this is a delicious, contemplative dram.

Recommended Luxury Malt Whisky:

Bruichladdich 40 Year Old
From the oldest vintage in the Bruichladdich cellars, this is the oldest ever bottling by the distillers. The whisky was distilled in October 1964 and filled into fresh bourbon casks before four decades of slow ageing on the Islay coast. The result is probably the most complex Bruichladdich ever produced. A triumph from a great distillery.

Black Bowmore 1964
Black Bowmore, the legend returns! It has been just over twelve years since the previous release. Selected from the same batch of Oloroso casks as the previous bottlings. On the 5th of November 1964 this Bowmore spirit was filled into five oloroso sherry casks and left to quietly mature in the deep, dark Bowmore vaults. Then in 2007 after 42 years maturing, the casks produced only 827 bottles of this extremely rare malt whisky.

Highland Park 40 Year Old
A new ongoing Highland Park, bottled at a remarkable 40 years old. They've done a good job on the presentation, too - extremely heavy box with proper hinges and magnetic closure, with a leather-bound booklet inside extolling the virtues of distillery and dram.

Macallan 1965
Macallan 1965 Cream Sherry Cask Number 2111. Carn Mor is a new range of bottlings, and this is an old Macallan from 1965, bottled from a single sherry cask at a whopping 43 years old.

Glenfarclas 1955 50 Year Old
Bottled in 2005 exactly fifty years to the day after it was distilled, this stunning Glenfarclas was hand-picked by George S. Grant to celebrate the Bicentenary of the birth of his Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandfather John Grant, a farmer and breeder of champion Aberdeen Angus cattle, who bought the Glenfarclas distillery in 1865.

Dalmore 50 Years Old
Bottled in 1978 into just sixty beautiful cut crystal decanters, the casks for Dalmore 50yo were laid down in the 1920s, and some of the spirit is reputed to have been distilled in the late 19th century. This is one of the best 50 year-old whiskies ever produced and is the personal favourite of many connoisseurs worldwide.
