Berry Bros & Rudd 2026 Odyssey Collection The Auld and the Bold

The Berry Bros & Rudd 2026 Odyssey Collection The Auld and the Bold features 20 single-cask releases spanning whisky, rum and Cognac. Continuing the Odyssey series, which debuted in 2024, The Auld and the Bold brings together a carefully curated selection of single casks connected by a shared narrative, creating an annual themed "Odyssey" across the world of fine spirits.

This year's edition examines the lasting impact of Scotland's whisky heritage beyond its borders, highlighting how time-honoured production methods have inspired distillers worldwide while continuing to shape some of Scotland's most celebrated producers.

Felix Dear, Spirits Curator at Berry Bros. & Rudd, said:

"For this year's Odyssey collection, we wanted to explore the relationship between heritage and innovation. Scotch whisky remains the benchmark that has inspired generations of distillers, but some of the most exciting spirits being made today are emerging from places far beyond Scotland.

"The Auld and the Bold brings these worlds together, showcasing both the timeless qualities that define great whisky and the fresh perspectives that continue to push the category forward. Whether the spirit comes from Speyside, Tasmania, Yorkshire or New Zealand, what unites these bottlings is a commitment to character, craftsmanship and a strong sense of place."

The Scottish selection reflects the extraordinary diversity of Scotch whisky. Highlights include the distinctive waxy character of Glenlossie 1975, alongside the fruit-forward profiles of Glencadam and Blair Athol, the latter finished in an unusual Viognier cask. Rich sherry-matured expressions from Longmorn, Glen Garioch and Tamdhu sit alongside smoky releases from Caol Ila, Williamson and Ruadh Mhor, together demonstrating the craftsmanship, provenance and patience that underpin Scotland's whisky tradition.

Looking beyond Scotland, the collection showcases producers who have embraced Scotch whisky's foundations while interpreting them through their own environments. Australia's Lark offers exceptional richness through Tawny cask maturation, India's Paul John combines Scottish peat with tropical ageing, and New Zealand's Thomson introduces its distinctive Manuka-smoked style. England's Spirit of Yorkshire represents the continued evolution of English single malt, producing an expressive, fruit-led whisky grounded in local ingredients and traditional methods.

Further examples of this global movement come from Denmark's Thy and Finland's Teerenpeli, both of which apply classic Scotch whisky-making techniques while reflecting their own regional barley, climate and maturation conditions. Collectively, these whiskies illustrate a worldwide renaissance in whisky making—one rooted in Scottish heritage yet defined by local terroir, innovation and individuality.

The collection also includes three exceptional Caribbean rums, each demonstrating the breadth of the category. Releases from Foursquare, Diamond and the iconic Caroni showcase styles ranging from elegant tropical maturation and vibrant fruit character to Caroni's unmistakable intensity. Completing the line-up is a 35-year-old early-landed Cognac from Frapin, distilled in France, matured in the UK and bottled at natural cask strength.

The Auld and the Bold comprises 20 bottlings from 20 distilleries and will be available from 16 July 2026. The full collection will be available to purchase from the Berry Bros. & Rudd spirits shop at No. 1 St James's Street, London.
