InterBev Spirit of Our Community Awards Beneficiaries

5th February 2026
International Beverage unveils major funding boost for charities through Spirit of Our Community Awards.

International Beverage has announced the Scottish charities that will benefit from its £25,000 Spirit of Our Community Awards fund.

The Airdrie-based spirits producer revealed today (Thursday 5th February) the three main beneficiaries of this year’s awards. A total of £20,000 will be shared among the selected organisations, chosen from a wide range of applicants:

  • St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie, receiving support for its child bereavement services across Lanarkshire.

  • Moray Rape Crisis, which delivers vital assistance to individuals affected by sexual violence and abuse.

  • Pulteneytown People’s Project, a community-focused centre serving residents in Wick and the wider Caithness region.

An additional £5,000 will be distributed among seven runners-up: Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust, Glenboig Development Trust, James Support Group, Elgin Youth Development Group, Wick Community Hub, Grampian Society for the Blind and Dornoch Beach Wheelchairs.

The Spirit of Our Community Awards, introduced in 2022, were created to acknowledge and support individuals and groups making a positive impact in the communities surrounding International Beverage’s headquarters in Airdrie. In 2023, the initiative expanded to include areas near the company’s five Scottish distilleries, each with its own dedicated awards fund.

The competition was open to charities and not-for-profit organisations based within three zones:

  • Zone 1: the ML5 and ML6 Airdrie and Coatbridge area

  • Zone 2: a 35-mile radius of Knockdhu Distillery in Aberdeenshire, and Speyburn and Balmenach Distilleries in Speyside

  • Zone 3: a 35-mile radius of Pulteney Distillery in Wick and Balblair Distillery in Tain

Awards organiser and International Beverage Business Support Manager Eileen Rae said: "We received our biggest number of awards entries to date this year and our judges really had a difficult task when it came to selecting our top recipients. The standard of entries was extremely high as so many deserving charities applied with a host of community initiatives that really touched our hearts.

"We are delighted to announce our 2025 winners and runners up and look forward to hearing more on how their projects develop over the months ahead."

This initiative represents the company’s most significant charitable investment so far.
