The Glasgow Distillery has announced
the latest addition to its acclaimed
Glasgow 1770 collection – Glasgow
1770 Bourbon Cask Matured 8 Year Old
single malt whisky. This new limited
release of 1,400 bottles marks the
second expression in the
distillery’s growing range of
age-statement single malts, bottled
at cask strength.

The SMWS Wham Bam! Festive Dram (Ben
Nevis)
The SMWS has unveiled a 35cl bottle
of its Wham Bam! festive dram,
accompanied by a long-stem tasting
glass, just in time for the holiday
season. Distilled at the Ben Nevis
distillery, this 11 Year Old whisky
was initially aged in an ex-bourbon
hogshead for five years before being
transferred to a first-fill Spanish
oak Oloroso hogshead. It is
available to non-members priced at
£42, members price is £38.

Highland Single Malt The Dalmore has unveiled the third
release in its Cask Curation
Series — The Red Wine Cask Edition.
To highlight the influence of these
special casks, The Dalmore used Château Mont-Redon red wine casks
to finish each of the three whiskies in

marketplace.

Benbecula Distillery Secures £1.5
Million Investment Boost
Benbecula Distillery, one of
Scotland’s newest whisky producers
located in the Outer Hebrides, has
received a £1.5 million investment
boost from the British Business
Bank's Investment Fund for Scotland.
Delivered through Maven Capital
Partners, the funding marks the
fund’s first equity investment in
the Highlands and Islands and will
enable the distillery to scale
production, support whisky
maturation, and expand its local
team.

Distillers One of One Auction
KANDOBLANC, the visionary maison
where art, culture, and rare whisky
converge, has achieved a landmark
result at the Distillers One of One
auction in partnership with
Sotheby’s. Its one-of-a-kind
creation, Dragon in Clouds, sold for
US $142,433, marking the highest
price achieved by an independent
boutique company and the
sixth-highest lot overall among 39
exceptional releases — more than
doubling KANDOBLANC’s previous
record.

After three years of ageing under some

world’s first whisky matured in
Antarctica has been revealed — a
groundbreaking venture conceived by
whisky entrepreneur Daniel Monk, founder
of Cask World, and made possible through
a partnership with La Alazana Distillery
in Argentina.

Clydeside Fortnight Peated Lowland
Scotch Malt Whisky
Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow has
revealed the debut of its first-ever
peated expression. Called Clydeside
Fortnight, the whisky takes its name
from the two-week period each year when
peated spirit is crafted at the
distillery. It now joins Clydeside’s
range and becomes available to the
public from today.

Bimber Distillery has announced the

Bladnoch, Scotland’s oldest
privately-owned distillery, has
unveiled the second release in its
special series Loch Maberry: Stories
of Bladnoch. Loch Maberry Chapter
Two is a single Cask 450/2006, a
sherry butt cask laid down in 2006.
The whisky is said to reveal rich
notes of coffee, chocolate, and
almonds, finishing with a long,
nutty almond character.

Series Debuts In Global Travel
Retail
The Dalmore has unveiled The Portfolio
Series 2025 in partnership with Lotte
Duty Free and Singapore Changi Airport,

has no age statement but I would say
it is far from being a youngster, I

lovely touch of fruit, quite a

good one.

Bladnoch Supports Wigtown Book
Festival 2025

Two To One Series The Scotch Malt
Whisky Society (SMWS) has kicked off an
exciting new series of ultra small-batch
releases called ‘Two to One’. Each
bottling in this experimental collection
marries just two casks of single malt
from the same distillery. I got hold of
one of the first releases in the new
series an outstanding peated
Bunnahabhain which began life in two
bourbon hogsheads before being re-racked
at five years old—one into a first
fill American oak Pedro Ximénez
hogshead, the other into a second
fill Oloroso hogshead.

The BBC has uncovered a massive
investment fraud involving Scotch whisky
casks, revealing scams worth millions of
pounds. Victims were sold overpriced or
even non-existent casks, with some
fraudulently resold multiple times. The
investigation detailed how convicted
fraudster Craig Brooks operated two
sham companies—Cask Whisky Ltd and
Cask Spirits Global Ltd—promising
lucrative returns. Another company,
Whisky Scotland, vanished after
taking investors' money.

Light Of 22% Decline In Sales
Amid suggestions that
Glenglassaugh distillery is to close
which were generated by postings on
social media, owners, Brown-Forman,
have confirmed that the distillery
will temporary halt production at
Glenglassaugh amid difficulties
facing the Scotch whisky industry.
They are implementing a shared
production model with BenRiach,
which will involve periods of
production alongside occasional
silent seasons, Glenglassaugh will
be silent until the end of this
year.
