Dewar’s
Aberfeldy Distillery marks the close of
a landmark year and will open 2026 with
an Evening of Burns entertainment.

Dewar’s Aberfeldy
Distillery is marking the close of a
landmark year that encompassed the 25th
anniversary of its acclaimed Visitor
Centre, wider international engagement,
and enhanced tour and tasting
experiences. The year concluded on a
high note with the distillery receiving
a Highly Commended accolade for Visitor
Attraction of the Year at the 2026 Icons
of Whisky Awards.
Throughout 2025, the Perthshire
distillery—established in 1896 by the
iconic Dewar family—served an impressive
59,386 drams of whisky, averaging one
every ten minutes. More than 25,000
guests from 68 countries passed through
its doors, with 95% of TripAdvisor
reviewers awarding five-star ratings,
underscoring the distillery’s reputation
for genuine Highland hospitality.
April saw the launch of the Whisky
Explorer Experience, a new tour created
for those eager to gain a more in-depth
understanding of the distillery’s
celebrated range. The experience
includes a guided tasting of mature
expressions and limited-edition
bottling's, each highlighting a distinct
profile. Expert-led tours delve into the
skill, flavour complexity and attention
to detail that characterise these
whiskies.
Jonathan Wilson, Brand Home Manager at
Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, said: "It
has been a special year celebrating the
25th anniversary of our Visitor Centre,
the home of our tour and tasting
experiences but also our dedicated
onsite archive museum, an ever evolving
collection spanning the rich history of
Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, since
1896.
"Welcoming international visitors from
almost 70 countries and being recognised
by the 2026 Icons of Whisky Awards is
testament to our commitment to providing
the best of Highland hospitality with
immersive whisky experiences that
capture the craft, people and processes
behind every bottle of DEWAR’S blends
and single malts.
"We’re looking forward to another
successful year in 2026, welcoming
guests from all corners of the globe to
our corner of Highland Perthshire.”
In tandem with its expanded tours, the
distillery also enhanced its bar
offering, unveiling an extended cocktail
menu and takeaway bottled serves.
Standout drinks include whisky-forward
favourites such as the Peach Highball,
Boulevardier, Rob Roy, and an Old
Fashioned made with the premium DEWAR’S
Double Double Aged 21 Years.
Plans for 2026 include a continued focus
on delivering exceptional whisky
experiences, with a programme of special
events and tastings scheduled throughout
the year. The calendar opens with the
Evening of Burns Entertainment on
January 23rd, featuring live music,
poetry, ceilidh dancing, and a
traditional supper of haggis, neeps and
tatties supplied by Ballintaggart.
Tickets for the Dewar’s Aberfeldy
Evening of Burns Entertainment are
priced at £20 and can be booked via the
Dewar's website.
