Wood Finish where Virgin Oak, Ex-Bourbon
and Sherry Casks converge to deliver
depth and complexity.
Douglas Laing & Co. has unveiled the
latest limited release expression of
their Epicurean Scotch Lowland blended
malt whisky, The Epicurean Three Wood
Finish – a tribute to the art of cask
maturation and the vibrant character of
the Lowlands. Bottled at its natural
cask strength of 54.1% and limited to
just 1,920 bottles, this Small Batch
release adds to The Epicurean’s
reputation as a Master of Versatility.
In this expression, three distinct cask
types converge to deliver depth and
complexity:
- Virgin Oak
lends bold spice and toasted, woody
richness.
- Ex-Bourbon
barrels bring silky layers of
vanilla and honeyed sweetness.
- Sherry casks
infuse luscious fruit tones and a
soft, warming finish.
The result? They
say is a perfectly balanced Lowland Malt
that is as intricate as it is inviting.
Presented with an elegant foiled label,
this non-chill-filtered and
natural-colour bottling exemplifies The
Epicurean’s unwavering commitment to
authenticity and craftsmanship.
The Epicurean Three Wood Finish is said
to be a vibrant celebration of wood’s
transformative power in Whisky – and a
testament to the boundless versatility
that defines The Epicurean.
