The Dalmore
is extending its tribute to the world of
design with the second release of its
Global Travel Retail exclusive whisky
collection, The Portfolio Series 2025,
created in collaboration with its
long-standing partner, V&A Dundee,
Scotland’s national design museum.

The Dalmore has unveiled The Portfolio
Series 2025, the second release in its
annual three-part collection of Highland
Single Malt Scotch whiskies, each
refined in hand-selected Bordeaux casks
sourced from some of the region’s most
celebrated Châteaux vineyards.
This limited-edition series of red wine
cask-finished whiskies is expertly
crafted by The Dalmore’s Master Whisky
Makers and, each year, reimagined
through the vision of a selected artist
in collaboration with V&A Dundee.
Drawing on the flavours, processes, and
heritage of the distillery, each
creative partner produces bespoke
artwork for the packaging, applying
their own distinctive design techniques.
For the 2025 edition, The Dalmore has
collaborated with Scottish graphic
artist Gabriella Marcella, founder and
director of RISOTTO, a leading risograph
print and design studio.
The Portfolio Series 2025 will debut
globally on 1 September at Singapore
Changi Airport in exclusive partnership
with Lotte Duty Free, before launching
at other major international airports
from October. This one-month exclusive
marks The Dalmore’s first-ever pop-up at
Changi.
Design meets
the art of whisky
Gabriella’s time at The Dalmore
distillery in the Scottish Highlands was
pivotal in shaping her creative
direction. Immersed in the world of
whisky-making, she drew inspiration from
the distillery’s sense of motion,
process, and time.
The whiskies themselves deeply
influenced her work, particularly their
layered sensory notes and the warmth of
their natural hues.
"My aim was to translate the smooth,
flowing characteristics of these
whiskies into visual elements – ones
that evoke movement and tactility,"
Gabriella explained.
Another key influence was The Dalmore’s
heritage, specifically the Mackenzie
tartan of the distillery’s founding
clan. Studying its intricate patterns
and thread counts, Gabriella found
inspiration in the precision of ancient
weaving practices.
"My approach was to honour the Mackenzie
tartan’s heritage while reimagining it
in ways that felt contemporary and in
alignment with The Dalmore’s innovative
spirit," she says.
Her re-interpretation captures the
tactile nature of risograph
printing—where each colour is applied
separately using a drum filled with
soy-based inks, resulting in vibrant,
textured prints with their signature
‘perfectly imperfect’ alignments and
handcrafted appeal.
"My designs were rooted in a deep
appreciation for The Dalmore’s heritage,
the whisky-making craft, and the unique
attributes of The Dalmore itself,"
Gabriella explained. "And just as whisky
follows a carefully honed recipe, my
designs began with strict parameters –
thread count and tartan grids etc –
before I introduced elements of play and
abstraction."
The three whiskies in The Dalmore
Portfolio Series are non-age statement
expressions, presented in their natural
colour and non-chill filtered, they are:

"We are proud to build on the success of
the inaugural launch with The Portfolio
Series 2025 and the limited-edition
release of this exceptional whisky
collection, which is celebrated visually
in the stand-out packaging created by
the bold creative vision of Gabriella
Marcella," commented Whyte & Mackay
Marketing Director GTR Janice McIntosh.
"Last year, through our pioneering
airport art gallery concept, we really
pushed the boundaries to introduce this
special concept, which was exceptionally
well received. We are excited to partner
with Singapore Changi Airport and Lotte
Duty Free to offer global travellers yet
more distinctive and immersive moments
