International
Beverage celebrated as ‘Best Employer’
at leading HR awards.

International
Beverage, the global premium spirits
producer which boasts a portfolio led by
a range of high-quality Scotch whisky
brands including Old Pulteney single
malt Scotch whisky, Hankey Bannister
blended Scotch whisky, has been
recognised for cultivating an
exceptional workplace environment after
taking home one of the HR industry’s
most respected honours.
The company secured the Best Employer /
Workplace of the Year award at the 2025
HR NETWORK National Awards, which took
place last Thursday at Glasgow’s Hilton
Hotel.
These annual awards highlight
outstanding practice across Scotland’s
HR profession, with winners selected
through a rigorous evaluation process
involving detailed interviews and
on-site reviews conducted by a
specialist judging panel.
International Beverage impressed the
judges with its dedication to creating a
workplace where inclusivity, support and
a strong sense of community are at the
forefront. The company’s recognition as
a Great Place to Work, its investment in
career development, and its commitment
to wellbeing initiatives for both men
and women were noted as key strengths.
Following the announcement, the business
praised its employees for playing a
central role in building and sustaining
its positive culture.
Sam Kirk, International Beverage’s
Director of HC said: "I am so proud to
see the hard work, commitment and strong
community spirit that flows through our
whole business recognised with this
award. From our team based in Scotland
to our colleagues in France, New Zealand
and beyond, this is a win for all of us.
It’s our employees who make
International Beverage a company where
colleagues are supported and valued as
individuals, and able to thrive as part
of a wonderful community of talented
people. Congratulations to all, and
let’s keep up the great work!"
The company also maintained its
involvement with the event by sponsoring
the Health & Wellbeing category — an
award it won in 2023. This year, the
honour was presented to NHS – National
Services Scotland.
