Vintage Collection for whisky
connoisseurs.
For more than thirty years, Murray
McDavid has pushed the boundaries of
Scotch whisky through its bold and
inventive approach to maturation and
cask craftsmanship. Since its
establishment in 1994, the company has
built a reputation for producing
distinctive whiskies that respect
traditional methods while exploring new
possibilities. This philosophy has
positioned Murray McDavid as one of the
most respected independent bottlers and
a recognised innovator in the Art of
Maturation.
Now, Murray McDavid unveils AFICIONADO,
an exclusive new collection showcasing
rare, carefully selected vintage single
malt Scotch whiskies. Launching today,
10 March 2026, the collection sits
between the brand's highly regarded
Mission Gold range—known for exceptional
single malts, grains and blends—and its
ultra-premium ULTRA collection, often
described as Masterpieces of Time.
AFICIONADO represents a new level within
the Murray McDavid portfolio, bringing
together extended maturation, carefully
considered cask finishing and
exceptional spirit sourced from some of
Scotland’s most renowned distilleries.
Each whisky is released in small
batches, bottled at natural colour and
without chill filtration to preserve the
full character and authenticity of the
spirit.

- Mortlach –
34 Years Old
Distilled 1989 | 40.1% ABV | 1 of
179 bottles | Speyside
Finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry
octaves.
This Speyside single malt opens with
notes of barley sugar and beeswax
before developing into creamy fudge,
dried apricots and fruity oak. The
Pedro Ximénez octave finishing
brings added richness and depth
while preserving Mortlach’s hallmark
weight and structure. The dram
concludes with a lingering finish of
orange peel and gently toasted malt.

- Bowmore – 34
Years Old
Distilled 1990 | 41.4% ABV | 1 of
160 bottles | Islay
Finished in first-fill Oloroso
sherry octaves.
An elegant interplay of floral
smoke, coastal sea spray and salted
peach is complemented by subtle
layers of cigar leaf and clove.
Initially matured in refill bourbon
hogsheads, the whisky was then
finished in Oloroso sherry octaves,
creating a refined balance between
Islay’s maritime character and rich
sherry influence.

35 Years Old
Distilled 1989 | 42.7% ABV | 1 of
139 bottles | Speyside
Fully matured in a bourbon barrel.
A rare expression from the closed
Imperial Distillery, this single
malt reveals notes of oily
pineapple, honeyed peach and a hint
of soft sweet peat. After
thirty-five years of maturation, the
whisky displays impressive balance
and texture, offering a creamy
mouthfeel, gentle spice and
remarkable elegance.
