design to The Macallan M.

Murray Cohen's Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep mahogany.
Nose: Primordial in its strength, depth and range. This “toast to the town” is voluptuous and meaty. Black forest cake on steroids explodes. The dense aromatic pipe tobacco hypnotizes. A sweet earthiness envelops with cherries jubilee and a lime-chocolate hybrid balanced by varieties of Turkish delight that abound. The olfactory voyage continues with baked apples dripping syrup with chocolate sprinkles, marble halvah and wafting aromas from the hillside tobacco farm.
Taste:
Full bodied. Great mouth feel. Spicy caramel enchants with crème Brule, Australian black liquorice and mountains of sultanas. It is velvety smooth with a virtual hologram of flavors with full bodied contributions. Nothing here is unwanted and the congruence of flavors is beyond exceptional. The sherry influence provides a ballet with both soft and deep elements that glide across the stage.
Finish: Long, woody, double fudge chocolate cake with enticing black cherries and a dark chocolate log. The aftertaste feels like it can last forever.
Comment: This is the Rolls Royce of whiskies if you like. A 15 layered torta cake has nothing on this one for pure complexity. Get ready for a journey through The Macallan's history with familiar and new accents, exceptional quality and much to remember.
