Review of Jameson The Distiller's Safe from Jameson Whiskey Makers Series.
Jameson The Distiller's Safe is one of a trio of premium blended whiskey's in Jameson's new
Whiskey Makers Series, a brand new range of super-premium Jameson whiskeys which celebrates the people behind Jameson, their craft and the tools they use to create Jameson.
The Distiller's Safe celebrates the role of Jameson’s Head Distiller, Brian Nation, and is billed as a showcase of the original copper pot still distillate. A purist of whiskey making, Brian explores the influence of the copper on the new-make spirit, using a maturation process that skilfully preserves the qualities of the original distillate, allowing the flavours developed in the pot still to take centre stage. Brian’s tool of choice – the spirit safe – allows him to fine tune the whiskey’s style at any point during the distillation process.
Jameson The Distiller’s Safe was bottled at 40% ABV and will be available from these specialist
Whisky Shops with an RRP of £53.50/€70 or local equivalent for a 70cl bottle.

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose: An enticing barley sugar sweetness, gentle vanilla and touch of pear.
Taste: A lovely barley sugar sweetness leads the way, vanilla, a little candied orange, pear, a lovely light touch of cinnamon and some oak spice hanging around in the background.
Finish: A long finish, barley sugar, cinnamon and gentle oak and pot still spices cling to the palate for an age, a touch of liquorice, very mildly drying.
Comment: A mouth watering barley sugar sweet Irish blended whiskey with a refreshingly long sweet finish. An outstanding blend, billed as a premium Jameson blended whiskey, it is!
