International Order of the Companions of the Quaich and our very own Scotch Malt Whisky Forum Member Murray Cohen (Quaich1) attended the annual "An Evening of Scottish Virtuosity" in Toronto Canada this week where he had the pleasure of tasting 9 whiskies from Gordon & MacPhail including some very rare premium whiskies from their extensive range.

Murray was good enough to take the time to submit an article about the evening as well as his tasting notes for the whiskies he tasted during the evening. You can read all about them here:

The Port Ellen sounds like something special also, great reviews Murray.

A great account and that 1952 Glen Grant is a stunner.. just had a 1948 vintage too that really does make you think about the history..

Sounds like a good Port Ellen Murray, I still have a couple of Douglas Laing Port Ellen and an official special release bottling tucked away but I doubt I will ever purchase another bottle now as the prices are now way beyond drinkable for my pocket.
