Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Tomatin 1997 was matured in Refill Bourbon Barrels and bottled on the 16th October 2014 at 46% ABV.

An Award Winning whisky which if you are lucky will still find available from the LCBO and for worldwide delivery from specialist online whisky shops such as Master of Malt.

Murray Cohen's Tasting Notes:

Colour:  Gold.

Nose:  Light floral notes emerge highlighting meadow flowers and sunflower seeds. Mild vanilla with a hint of salt water berry taffy catches one’s attention.

Taste: Medium-bodied, creamy with faint Mediterranean spices and background tobacco notes.

Finish: Medium-long, spice, nutty essences with a noticeable oaky influence.

Comment: This 17 year old is a solid dram with some building intensity. I get the impression it would open more over the course of a longer tasting session.
