The
GlenAllachie unveils a fresh new look
for its range of single malt whiskies.

Scotch whisky distillery, The
GlenAllachie, has unveiled a fresh new
look for its single malt brand, complete
with a new logo and packaging. Guided by
the expertise of the legendary whisky
craftsman with 52 years of experience,
Billy Walker, this independent producer
based in Speyside is celebrated for its
exceptional spirit quality and
pioneering cask innovations.
The redesigned visual identity, which
has been crafted by Scottish design
agency Threebrand, is described as a
reflection of the brand's growth since
the launch of its core range in 2018,
which led to substantial year-on-year
sales increases.
Inspired by the distinctive shape of the
distillery's gable end and the brand's
upward trajectory, the slanted design
elements bring a sense of uniqueness,
allure, and visual appeal to the
packaging. The materials used, such as
sustainably sourced uncoated paper
stock, luxurious black and gold foils,
and a custom embossed bottle, all come
from UK-based suppliers as part of the
distillery's commitment to reducing its
carbon footprint.
Alongside this visual update, the brand
is introducing a renewed messaging
strategy, anchored by the tagline
'whisky in good hands,' which celebrates
the skilled team led by Billy Walker.
Fans of the GlenAllachie needn't worry
as despite the updated exterior, the
beloved award-winning whisky you will
find in the new look bottles will remain
unchanged, with the core line-up
continuing to feature the 10, 12, 15,
and 18 Year Old expressions. To simplify
the product portfolio, the various
limited edition series will now be
consolidated under a single umbrella
range called The Wood Collection, with
the first additions set to be unveiled
next month.
Commenting on the announcement,
Marketing Director Colette Savage
shares: "The updated look sets out to
modernise, premiumise and refine the
brand, bringing the packaging in line
with the quality inside the bottle. With
an acceleration in demand for The
GlenAllachie worldwide, the
transformation was necessary to elevate
brand credibility and strengthen its
visual appeal on a global scale.
"A key stipulation of the project was to
ensure we performed a rejuvenation
rather than an overhaul. Indeed, the
iconic bottle and core range colours are
integral to The GlenAllachie’s brand
identity and have been retained. The
visual progression will aid in shaping
the future of the brand as a heavy
hitter in the Speyside single malt
space."
Managing Director at Threebrand, Gary
Fortune-Smith adds: "This was a
carefully considered rebrand journey.
The GlenAllachie has a fiercely loyal
consumer base, who are not to be lost in
the process, whilst the brand strives to
reach new ‘whisky explorers’ by better
visually reflecting the superb quality
of their liquids.
"We aimed to strengthen the brand story;
the positivity and progress of the
‘angle’ reflects their continual strive
for excellence and is also a direct nod
back to the brand home. We worked
closely with the GlenAllachie team to
gain real insights and understanding,
which has led to an outcome we’re all
very proud of."
In November last year, the GlenAllachie
distillery shared news of its approval
for the Scottish Industrial Energy
Transformation Fund (SIETF) grant. This
funding will facilitate the
implementation of mechanical vapour
recompression technology, reducing
energy consumption by half. The
remaining energy needs will be met
through renewable sources such as solar
panels.
Starting today, the updated GlenAllachie
Core Collection, featuring the 10, 12,
15, and 18 Year Old expressions, will
become available in select retail stores
globally. The newly packaged 30 Year Old
variant is scheduled for release next
month, followed by the debut of the
inaugural bottlings from The Wood
Collection.
You will find The GlenAllachie whisky range available from specialist online whisky
shops such as
