Finish.
 The
GlenAllachie 13 Year Old Rioja Wine Cask
Finish is the oldest of three inaugural
bottlings in the new limited edition
GlenAllachie Wine Cask series.
The 13 year single malt is the creative
work of The GlenAllachie Master
Distiller Billy Walker, it was
inititially matured in American Oak
ex-bourbon barrels before undergoing a
secondary maturation in medium-toasted
Spanish oak casks from Rioja, one of
Spain’s premier wine regions.
The GlenAllachie 13 Year Old Rioja Wine Cask Finish is bottled at 48% ABV, non chill filtered
and naturally coloured and has a RRP of £63.99.

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Icing sugar sweet heather honey infused
with a lovely enticing fruitiness - a
mix of apricot, orange citrus and some
slightly candied red berries.
Taste:
Delicious honey glazed raisin & sultanas
with a side of almond fills the mouth,
followed by the touch of orange citrus
which has a wee bit of a candied edge, a
bit of late oak and the slight touch of
pepper.
Finish:
The delicious sweet honeyed fruits
continue for an age before bowing out to
leave some lingering sugars, a little
oak spice and just a thread of
liquorice.
Comment:
The Spanish Rioja wine has certainly
added its influence to this Rioja wine
cask finish Glenallachie, it is another
delicious, quality easy drinking moreish
dram from the creative Master Distiller,
Billy Walker. All three of the whiskies
released in this first instalment of
Glenallachie's new Wine Cask Finish
Series are very good but if I could only
choose one it would be this 13 Year Old
Rioja Wine Cask Finish.
