Claxton's
Spirits announce the release of a 2nd
instalment of 5 whiskies in the their
Dalswinton Series, each has been sourced
from a renowned coastal Scotch whisky
distillery, namely - Bowmore,
Bunnahabhain, Springbank, Clynelish and
Highland Park and all are over 30 Year
Old.

Claxton's Spirits is an independent
bottler with traditional dunnage style
cask warehousing on the 5,000 acre
Dalswinton Estate just north of Dumfries
in the south of Scotland.
The setup at Dalswinton Estate enables
them mature,
re-rack, blend and bottle - an
impressive and uncommon capability for
an independent whisky bottler.
Claxton’s Dalswinton Series debuted in
2021 with five rare whiskies, each
carefully selected and matured over
several years to highlight their
distinctive and refined profiles.
Building on the immense success of the
inaugural five whiskies in the
Dalswinton Series, Claxton’s is
preparing to release the next five
exclusive whiskies this autumn.
These five new releases, curated over
several years, are designed to
complement the original five whiskies
launched three years ago. Staying true
to the original series, the new whiskies
will be presented in the same heavy-set
decanters, featuring hand-etched
illustrations depicting the life and
history of the Dalswinton Estate.
Located at the heart of the stunning
5,000-acre Dalswinton Estate, Claxton’s
Maturation Warehouses and Tasting Rooms
are where the first Dalswinton Series,
released in 2021, was crafted and
quickly sold out worldwide. The Second
Edition includes five rare whiskies,
each aged over 30 years, and each has
been sourced from a renowned coastal
Scotch whisky distillery, namely -
Bowmore, Bunnahabhain, Springbank,
Clynelish and Highland Park.
Matured in Claxton’s traditional dunnage
warehouse, the casks have been carefully
chosen to showcase the flavours of these
prestigious coastal distilleries. With
only 100 bottles drawn from each cask,
these whiskies are certainly a rare and
premium offering.
Each of the decanters the whisky is
presented in are adorned with scenes
from the estate’s rich and diverse
history, illustrated by Dumfries-based
artist Jamie Stryker. The timeline on
each bottle spans from the Roman
encampments along the River Nith to the
current ownership by the Landale family.
Claxton's Managing Director, Adrian
Hoose, commented: "This series, much
like the one before, has been a true
labour of love as I have sought out the
finest casks from some of the most
famous Scottish whisky distilleries. It
has taken years of careful selection to
find the right five casks to follow-up
the inaugural release that was a huge
success and sold out within days of
release."
All five whiskies have been bottled
non-chill filtered and naturally
coloured and a full set has a RRP of
£6,295 which isn't too bad in today's
whisky marketplace considering all five
whiskies have a combined age of 158
Years.
