Bunnahabhain 2007 11 Year Old Port Pipe
Finish Distell Limited Release 2019 Malt Whisky Collection.

Distell's Limited Release Malt Whisky
Collection 2019, this
Bunnahabhain 2007 11 Year Old Port Pipe
Finish was initially matured in whisky
refill hogshead casks and then filled
into port pipes in 2016 for a final 2
years of maturation.
Bottled at a cask strength of 55.3% ABV,
naturally coloured and non-chillfiltered,
it is a limited release of 275 bottles,
it has a RRP of £90 and will be
available here in the UK, Europe,
Taiwan, China and Global Travel Retail.

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
An enticingly rich perfumed nose, nutmeg,
almonds, sweet malt, honey, a mix of
cherry and ripe raisins, a touch of
orange lurking in the background.
Taste:
The palate simply confirms what the nose
said was coming, pronounced almonds with
a nutmeg edge leads, a lovely fresh
raisiny and cherry fruitiness, delicate
vanilla oakiness and a bit of oak spice.
Finish:
A lovely long lingering finish, the port
fruits simply cling to the palate for an
age before finally bowing out to leaving
some gentle oak spice.
Comment:
Deliciously moreish is how I would best
describe this Bunna, the final two years
maturation has certainly had a big say
in how this Bunna has turned out with a
perfumed/almond theme from start to
finish. The cask strength simply adds to
the pleasure.
