Grant's Cask
Edition 8 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish to
be released later this year.
 Grant's
8 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish is a soon
to be released new permanent addition to
the Grant's Cask Editions whisky range
which I suppose you could say replaces
the discontinued no age statement
Grant's Sherry Cask Finish.
So
how does the new 8 year old Sherry Cask
Finish stand up against the old no age
statement expression, I can't comment on
its quality yet as it wont be released
until later in the year but I have
posted the official tasting note below
to wet your appetite.
Grant's 8
Year Old Sherry Cask Finish spends eight
years ageing in oak barrels before it
matures further in Oloroso Sherry casks
handpicked from Spain by Grant’s Master
Blender, Brian Kinsman.
Going by
the quality of the fresh fruity and now
discontinued no age statement Sherry
Cask Finish I have high hopes for this
new 8 year old expression and I will
certainly update you with my thoughts on
it when I do get a chance to taste it
The Grant's 8 Year Old Sherry Cask
Finish is bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl
bottle, and will be available later in
the year with a RSP of £21.00

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
A balance of green apple, blossom and a
soft vanilla oakiness enveloped in a
gentle sherry spiciness.
Taste:
An immediate oaky vanilla sweetness is
counterbalanced with rich malty notes. A
few drops of water bring out deep, dried
fruits and subtle woody spices.
Finish:
Sweet with a hint of woody spice.
