Review of the
GlenDronach 1993 Cask No.416 25 Year
Old.
 The
GlenDronach 1993 Cask No.416 25 Year Oldis one of 14 new limited edition
whiskies in Batch 17 of GlenDronach's
popular Single Cask series of whiskies.
Matured
for 25 years in a Oloroso Sherry Butt,
non chill-filtered and naturally
coloured this PX sherry cask matured whisky was
bottled at 51.2% ABV, it is a limited
release of 663 bottles.
One
of 7 out of 14 releases in Batch 17 that
will be heading for the Asia Pacific,
Australia, New Zealand and Canadian
marketplaces, it will be
available from August 2019 from
specialist whisky shops such as
Master of
Malt and
The Whisky Exchange
while stocks last.

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Vanilla and sherried fruitcake - burnt
raisins and sultanas, a hint of toasted
almond and some mild spicy treacle
toffee.
Taste:
A rich sherried fruit delivery, the
delicious dark sherried fruit - burnt
raisins, sultanas and cherries are
joined by some plum, a touch of mildly
zesty orange, a little nuttiness, a
touch of vanilla and behind the
fruitiness is a lovely touch of honey
and spice.
Finish:
A deliciously long finish with the burnt
raisins and sultanas hanging in there
for an age, some lovely lingering
treacle toffee and of course some mature
oak clinging to the palate until the
end.
Comment:
A lovely big sherried GlenDronach, not a
huge sherry bomb but it really is a
mature sherried pleasure in on the
palate and the long finish simply
extends that pleasure. Another cracking
GlenDronach single cask whisky.
