Royal Brackla
12 Year Old Review
The
entry level bottling in the new
Royal Brackla single malt whisky range
is the Royal Brackla 12 year old, like
all the bottlings in the range it is
presented in rather regal looking navy
blue packaging and bottled at 40% ABV.
William
Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose: Subtle, fresh sponge cake,
vanilla, a little floral, distant
orange.
Taste: A lovely mildly
zesty orange, lemon, subtle vanilla sweetness
all dusted with a mild oak spice. Just a
touch of honey and marzipan.
Finish: Medium length with
coconut and orange fading to leave a
little drying oak spice.
Comment:
A lovely smooth mildly sherried
dram with orange, vanilla and mild oak
spice. I reckon this could have picked
up 5 more points if it had been bottled
at 46% ABV plus.
SMW Score
84/100
Royal Brackla 12 year old has an RRP of
£45.99 and will be available from
