Bowmore add Gold Reef, a predominately first-fill ex-bourbon cask matured whisky their travel retail
exclusive range.
Bowmore Gold Reef is a new addition to the Bowmore travel retail range, similar to the other bottlings in the new Bowmore travel retail exclusive range, its name was inspired by Bowmore's extraordinary island home off the west coast of Scotland, the island of Islay.
Bowmore tell me that Gold Reefs name was inspired by the way the glow of the sun's rays reflect off the coral seabed just off the coast of the distillery, and they say that this same Gold catches the eye inside every bottle of Gold Reef.
The Bowmore Gold Reef was matured predominately in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, and Bowmore describe as having notes of vanilla, citrus fruits and coconut milk.
Bottled at 43% ABV in a 1 litre bottle with a RRP of £59.99
