Inverleven distillery was built in 1938 within Hiram Walkers huge grain distillery complex at Dumbarton. The distillery operated two traditional stills for the production of Inverleven and also a lomond still which produced Lomond Single malt. None of the two malts have ever been officially released as a single malt but you can find them in independent bottlings. In recent years the still producing the Inverleven malt has been mothballed but the lomond still at the distillery is still producing.
