William
Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
A little earthy mustiness, buttery,
honey, a little nuttiness.
Taste:
An intriguing mix of cherry and the more
bitter plum and orange, peach and
apricot also, then a wee touch of
sulphur appears, the slightest touch of
liquorice.
Finish:
Although long, the fruit doesn't hang
around, drying not so sweet oak, the
whole thing bitters out with the
slightest touch of sulphur tainting the
pleasure.
Comment:
Quite a shy nose with not much saying
there is a lot of pleasure to come. then
not the most enticing mix of fruit on
the palate and spoiled slightly by a
tinge of sulphur on the finish. I would
say this would take a few drams to fully
appreciate.
