William
Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
A mix of plum and apricot, mildly spicy
toffee apple and dark chocolate raisins.
Taste:
A lovely smooth delivery of dark but not
heavily sherried fruit - burnt raisins
and sultanas, orange, nutty, a light
touch of vanilla behind the lovely dark
fruit a little touch of honey. Late
arrival of some smoky bacon.
Finish:
Deliciously long, the fruit bows out
leaving an earthy, cigar box, drying
mature oakiness.
Comment:
Not as heavily sherried as you may think
given its 28 years in the cask, a more
elegantly sherried, very enjoyable, mature
GlenDronach.
SMW Score
89/100
