Parkinson has been appointed new
Managing Director – Global Travel Retail
at William Grant & Sons.
In the latest
whisky industry news, Rufus Parkinson
has been appointed Managing Director –
Global Travel Retail at William Grant &
Sons, the renowned Scottish family-owned
drinks company.
With a rich background in the luxury
sector, Parkinson made the move from
Asia to join the company in June 2023,
initially serving as Regional Director
for Global Travel Retail across Europe,
the Americas, India, and the Middle
East.
Proficient in Mandarin, Parkinson brings
a wealth of experience in luxury
consumer brands, FMCG, and retail,
having held significant leadership
positions at Moët Hennessey and Mars.
His appointment signifies a strategic
move to leverage his expertise in brand
development and global commerce to
enhance the company's position in the
premium spirits market. He will be
tasked with guiding the company's Global
Travel Retail team as they strive to
further solidify their leadership role
in the industry.
Commenting on Parkinson’s appointment,
William Grant & Sons Chief Commercial
