The Dalmore
King Alexander III and Jura Superstition
now cruising at 35,000ft as Whyte &
Mackay are announced as an Emirates
airlines whisky partner.
Whyte
& Mackay Limited are flying high
following the announcement that they
will be a whisky partner of the world’s
largest international airline, Emirates.
The company's Dalmore and Jura single
malt whiskies will now be able to be
appreciated at 35,000ft on Emirates,
which serves over 135 destinations
world-wide.
First class travellers on board Emirates
airline flights will now be able to
sample the outstanding Dalmore King
Alexander III. The highly rated Dalmore
King Alexander III is the only single
malt in the world created using a unique
six-cask finish, this pioneering whisky
is the creation of The Dalmore’s Master
Distiller Richard Paterson. His
fifty-year career and dedication to
personal cask curation and multi-stage
maturation result in a sumptuous and
layered whisky of legendary finesse.
Jura Superstition Single Malt
accompanies The Dalmore on-board the
Emirates experience, served in Business
Class. From the remote Isle of Jura,
nestled off the West Coast of Scotland,
with only one road, one pub, one
distillery and 200 people, Jura creates
single malt with a true passion for the
craft of whisky making. A lightly peated
whisky with subtle notes of smoke and
spice make Superstition a warming
drinking experience, perfect when
enjoyed as customers take in the night
sky from above.
Dubai-based Emirates, known for its
unmatched hospitality and world-class
service, is considered a leader in the
travel industry and already carries a
host of premium products on board its
services. The Dalmore and Jura will be
the newest additions to the airline’s
recently revamped spirits offering,
sitting alongside only two other Scotch
whisky brands on the First and Business
Class menus.
Joost Heymeijer, Senior Vice President,
Inflight Catering, Emirates commented:
"At Emirates, we are constantly working
to deliver an unmatched customer
experience. We’ve gone to great lengths
to curate a stellar spirits offering
with a mix of niche, hand-crafted brands
as well as popular and well-loved
spirits. We’re proud to offer both The
Dalmore King Alexander III and Jura
Superstition on our flights. Each
distillery is known for their dedication
to craftsmanship and access to rare and
old casks and we’re proud to be serving
whiskies of such quality to our
customers."
Dalmore Master Distiller Richard
Paterson added: "Award-winning Emirates
is known the world over for its
exceptional luxury travel experience and
it is an honour to be associated with
them. Given its exceptional flavour
profile, it is therefore fitting that
the renowned six cask-finished The
Dalmore King Alexander III should be
selected to feature on board.
"It’s exciting to see one of my most
celebrated creations now offered at
35,000 ft. This is a proud moment for
me."
