Whyte
& Mackay was established in 1844 by
James Whyte and Charles Mackay.
The
secret of the success of the Whyte & Mackay
blend lies in its
unique double maturation process which
gives the whisky its smooth taste.
This blending process combines over 40 different malts
in oak sherry casks before being blended
with selected aged grain whiskies. The
blend is then returned to another set of
sherry casks to complete the second
maturation. This unique double
maturation process produces a smoother
mellow tasting blend of superior
quality.
