Glasgow based
whisky blender Turntable has teamed up
with Australian distillery Starward for
their latest creative limited edition
blended whisky created using 39%
Starward, 29% Inchgower, 22% North
British and 10% Caol Ila.

whisky blending with their latest
release for which they have teamed up
with Australian distillery Starward for
their latest limited edition blended
whisky release, 'Turntable Collaboration
Drop 01 With Starward'. This latest Turntable blend builds
upon the Glasgow blender’s impressive
track record of three special edition
whiskies and three core range
expressions from earlier this year.
"From the moment we started Turntable,
we had an idea about working with New
World whiskies in the pursuit of
flavour," said Co-founder Ally
Stevenson.
"Our friends at Starward Distillery in
Melbourne have been producing
outstanding Australian single malt
whisky for over 15 years, and for this
blend we wanted to create something that
showcased their style – ex-Australian
wine casks – but gave a new dimension."
As always Turntable has been very
transparent regards the component
whiskies in this latest blend, the
predominant whisky in the blend making
up a 39% contribution is Starward
ex-Australian Red Wine Cask single malt
whisky, 29% is Inchgower Virgin Oak
Barrel single malt whisky, 22% is North
British Virgin Oak Barrel single grain
whisky, and bringing a bit a bit of
Islay smoky and salty character is 10%
Caol Ila First Fill Bourbon Barrel
single malt whisky.
"Whisky drinkers can look forward to a
characterful blend that hopefully
encompasses the best of both Scottish
and Australian traditions," predicted
Turntable Co-founder Gordon Stevenson.
"Combining the sweeter wine casks with
the smoke and salt of Islay, and working
with some older grains and Speyside
single malts to provide additional depth
and complexity, has been a lot of fun.
We cannot wait to hear people’s
reaction."
This distinct bottling showcases a
one-of-a-kind label design adorned with
constellations sourced from both the
northern and southern hemispheres.
Crafted with UV ink, the label glows in
the dark, highlighting the celestial
patterns.
The Turntable Collaboration Drop 01 With
Starward blend has been bottled at 46%
ABV, non chill filtered and naturally
coloured, it will be available from
specialised retailers across the UK and
will extend its reach to significant
European markets like Germany, France,
the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Beyond
these, Turntable's collaborators in
Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Hong
Kong are poised to receive a portion of
this transcontinental concoction.
