The Singleton
Whisky launches ‘Supper With A Side Of
Humour’ events this month at Hackney
Coffee Company in East London. Featuring
The Singleton of Dufftown.

Over the next couple of weeks Diageo
Reserve’s Single Malt Whisky, The
Singleton, will be hosting a series of
supper clubs, designed to bring fun,
humility and a sense of humour to the
world of whisky cocktails and gourmet
dining.
Taking place on 13th and 26th June at
Hackney Coffee Company in East London,
The Singleton’s ‘Supper With A Side of
Humour’ events are a first for the brand
in the UK and aim to encourage consumers
not to be bound by old traditions – to
be playful, fun and ‘unapologetically
enjoy’ whisky and consider it in new
ways. They will bring together The
Singleton cocktails with live comedy
from comedian Jack Barry and a bespoke
three-course menu prepared by Holborn
Dining Room’s award-winning Executive
Chef, Calum Franklin.
Each course from the fun and nostalgic
menu - which includes dishes such as
Singleton cured salmon and asparagus
terrine on toast; slow cooked curried
lamb shoulder, onion and potato pie; and
Singleton infused Jelly and ice cream -
will be paired with an innovative
Singleton cocktail created by The
Singleton Global Brand Ambassador, Ervin
Trykowski. Cocktails will range from a
‘The Singleton Seaside Soda’ made with
lemon soda and chip-shop cordial; to a
‘Trade Route’ which mixes The Singleton
15 Year Old with pineapple and turmeric
sugar; and ‘The Singleton Scotch Mist’
complete with blackcurrant jelly, Tonka
ice cream and a cherry on top. All of
the bespoke drinks are designed to be
‘unapologetically enjoyed’ – dispelling
traditional myths surrounding whisky and
educating consumers that it is very
approachable, versatile and easy to
enjoy.
Ervin commented: “Whether served neat,
on the rocks, or under a cocktail
umbrella, The Singleton is a flavoursome
and versatile Scotch Whisky that seeks
to be unapologetically enjoyed and
explored by bartenders and consumers
alike.
“Not only are consumers becoming more
knowledgeable; they’re looking for new
liquids to try and are becoming more
confident in experimentation. By
launching our Supper With A Side of
Humour event series, we hope to inspire
drinkers to be playful with their
drinking choices and unapologetically
enjoy whisky and consider it in new
ways. We’re encouraging people to go
beyond the recipe book, try new serves
and experiment when spending time in
both the on-trade and at home.”
The two comedy supper club events will
take place on 13th and 26th June, from
7pm – 11pm. The event on the 13th June
is now sold out.
You will find The Singleton whisky range
