Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has
unveiled the latest addition to its
sherry rich Cigar Malt series, Tamdhu
Cigar Malt III.
Tamdhu Cigar Malt III, a non-chill
filtered single malt boasting a robust
and no doubt flavoursome 53.8% ABV,
distinguished by its unmistakably
opulent sherry rich flavour profile,
this limited release dram has been
matured to harmonise seamlessly with a
hand-rolled cigar.
The journey of Tamdhu Cigar Malt III is
an extraordinary one, as it evolves its
intricate natural hues and flavours
exclusively within first-fill European
oak Oloroso sherry casks. Every cask is
thoughtfully selected, ensuring the wood
imparts a strikingly robust character,
capable of complementing the lavishness
of a premium cigar.
The bold influence of first-fill
European sherry oak casks is said not
only to bestow Cigar Malt III with a
captivating aroma but also imbues it
with a warm, rich hue that pays homage
to Tamdhu's renowned Speyside character.
The whisky is said to tantalise with the
fragrance of toasted gingerbread and
honey, which gracefully evolves into
decadent notes of creamy panna cotta and
dried fruits. Mirroring the deliberate
draw of a cigar, this single malt will
progressively envelop the palate with
its full-bodied layers, culminating in a
gratifying finish that lingers, leaving
behind a jammy aura of apricots and
indulgent praline.
