unveils Batch 8 in its popular big
sherried Batch Strength series.

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
introduces the latest addition to its
'Batch Strength' collection. Unveiled
this week, Tamdhu Batch Strength 008
emerges as an unfiltered expression
boasting a robust 55.8% ABV, epitomising
the brand's steadfast commitment to
crafting quality whisky.
Remaining loyal to their time-honoured
customs, this iteration matures
exclusively in Oloroso sherry seasoned
casks sourced from the renowned bodegas
of Jerez, Spain. The eighth instalment
in this series dares to redefine
perfection by meticulously hand-picking
each cask, with a notable emphasis on
first-fill sherry casks..
The rarity of this wood is said to
bestow Tamdhu Batch Strength 008 with a
stunning copper radiance and a truly
magnificent flavour profile. Tamdhu
tells me that upon nosing, deep nutty
layers of Spanish oak give way to an
enticing aroma of velvety vanilla and
slowly melting honeycomb. The initial
sip whisks imbibers away to a sun-kissed
orchard in summer, where tangy berries
waltz harmoniously with candied lemon
peel. The experience culminates in
Tamdhu's signature sherry oak finish, a
lingering elegance enriched with subtle
fig notes that linger on the palate.
