The SMWS are
offering members the chance to win a
cask of Holyrood whisky and the winner
will be able to tailor their cask of
whisky to their own flavour preference
through Holyrood's Custom Cask
Programme.
The Edinburgh based Scotch Malt
Whisky Society, which today has venues
throughout the world, has over the past
week been hosting their annual
'Gathering', a programme of physical and
virtual events, tastings and festivals
which have been taking place all across
the globe.
This year during the Gathering the
Society announced the launch of a
members only competition with an amazing
prize, The SMWS are offering members the
chance to win a full hogshead cask of
whisky, and the great thing about this
incredible prize is that the winner will
be able to tailor their cask of whisky
to their own flavour preference.
The SMWS have paired up with Edinburgh’s
first city centre single malt whisky
distillery for almost 100 years, the
Holyrood Distillery, which went into
production in the summer of 2019. This
is the first time The SMWS has offered
members the chance to win an entire cask
of whisky from a partner distillery. The
coveted prize is worth approximately
£10K and includes all associated costs
including production of spirit,
maturation for up to 10 years, bottling
and duty, surely the ultimate prize for
any whisky-lover.
Holyrood Distillery offers a wide
breadth of flavour options as part of
their Custom Cask Programme, they allow
a unique fully customisable option,
where people can select flavour options
to tailor their cask of whisky to their
flavour preference, so if you are the
lucky winner of their amazing prize
whatever your personal taste preference
you are sure to win a prize which you
like.
The competition went live today Monday
7th September, it is only open to SMWS
members and the closing date for entries
is Monday 2nd November.
