Whisky Focus - Loch Lomond Still The Fastest Growing Scotch Single Malt Whisky

Loch Lomond Distillery has solidified its place as a global leader in the Scotch whisky industry, achieving remarkable success at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. For the second time in three years, the distillery has been recognised as the fastest-growing among the top 50 Single Malt Scotch Whisky brands globally, as reported by IWSR. This growth is attributed to its unwavering commitment to quality, which has garnered significant recognition across prestigious awards.

The distillery's performance at the 2024 competition was outstanding, earning 16 awards—more than any other Scotch whisky brand. A standout among these was the Platinum award for Loch Lomond's 12 Year Old Inchmoan Single Malt, recognised for achieving double gold honours for three consecutive years. Additionally, the distillery secured the ‘Best Single Cask Scotch’ title for its Cask 21/546-6 Exclusive Cask – 1st Fill Bordeaux Hogshead, which was bottled exclusively for the Drammers Club in the U.S.

These accolades follow the distillery’s success at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2024, where the Loch Lomond 12 Year Old Inchmurrin Single Malt was named Best Scotch Whisky under 15 Years Old. The distillery also received Gold Outstanding Awards at IWSC 2024, with the Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 12 Year Old being recognised as Best in Category.

Loch Lomond's versatility is evident in its diverse offerings, which extend beyond its flagship single malt to include single grain whisky, as well as the Spearhead and Noble Rebel brands. Noble Rebel, the distillery’s latest innovation, offers a trio of blended malt whiskies—Hazelnut Harmony, Orchard Outburst, and Smoke Symphony.

The distillery’s rich history dates back to 1965, and it continues to grow its global presence, driven by innovation, quality, and a diverse product portfolio. This success is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship that has fuelled its growth and earned Loch Lomond worldwide acclaim.
