Review of the
Jura distillery workers selected
Jura One And All 20 year old limited
edition single malt whisky.
Jura
today unveiled their 2017 limited
edition bottling, Jura One And All 20
Year Old.
Jura One And All was chosen by the team
of Jura distillery workers who craft the
remote Hebridean Island single malt
whisky, a marriage of 20 year old Jura
whisky which has
matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon
barrels and specially prepared in sherry
wood, sparkling Cabernet Franc casks,
Cabernet Sauvignon casks and Pinot Noir
Barriques
The Jura team got together on what I am
sure was a very enjoyable day at work,
on the 6th of February this year and
selected the rather uncommon assemblage
of single malts which certainly reflect
on the companies 50 year veteran master
blender Richard Paterson's creative use
of wine casks for maturation.
Together the Jura distillery and the 200
inhabitants of the island which includes
17 distillery workers have re-built a
thriving close knit island community
since the distillery re-opened 50 years
ago. Graham Logan, Jura Distillery
Manager commented on the limited edition
whisky saying: "There’s no better way to
mark the distillery team’s dedication
and craftsmanship, than by creating a
limited edition expression in their
honour – chosen by them. In tribute to
their passion and tenacity - the shared
spirit that each person brings to every
last drop - this special whisky is the
perfect dram to toast one and all. We
can’t wait to hear what people think."
Jura One And All 20 year old is
naturally coloured, non chill-filtered
and bottled at a cask strength of 51%
ABV, a limited release of 5,000 bottles
it has a RRP of £120 and will be available from
specialist online whisky shops such as

Jura One For All 20 Year Old Review

William
Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose: A lovely enticingly rich
nose packed with exotic fruit, sweet
iced coconut, creamy vanilla toffee.
Taste: Just as rich in the mouth,
deliciously juicy sweet barley and
equally delicious cherry, orange and
sultanas are joined
by a little creamy toffee and a touch of
spice.
Finish: Lovely dried fruits and
toffee fade to leave a lingering gentle
sweet oak spice end.
Comment: Simply delicious, Jura is a distillery which tends
to get very good around this age and
this is no exception, it has a lovely
rich juicy fruitiness from nose to
finish which is complemented by the
creamy toffee. It isn't big in your face
heavy sherried fruit, it is a more
refined mouth watering juicy fruitiness
which has no doubt come from the
uncommon combination of casks selected
by the Jura distillery workers which has
resulted in a a different and very
enjoyable Jura. Unlike cooking where too
many chefs spoil the broth it seems when
you increase the number of distillery
workers choosing the whisky the result
is something very good indeed. I hope
Jura have rewarded the Jura distillery
selection team with a bottle or two to
take home.
SMW Score 92/100
