demand for distillery visits and events.
On August 3rd, the independent,
family-owned Jackton Distillery
officially welcomed key spirit partners,
Icons of Whisky, and industry
representatives from Scotland Food &
Drink and Visit Scotland to showcase
their brand-new tours, tasting bar, and
on-site accommodations.
Throughout the day, guests enjoyed
engaging and informative tours,
culminating in a visit to the
distillery’s state-of-the-art tasting
bar. This venue boasts a capacity of
100, and is ideal for lowland retreats,
corporate team training sessions,
weddings, special occasions, and
gatherings with friends and family for
tours and tastings.
No need to worry
about the designated driver—enjoy the
tour and stay overnight. The Steadings,
a complex of 12 brand-new luxury one-
and two-bedroom cottages on the
distillery grounds, offers the perfect
base for exploring the Scottish
Lowlands, whether for a romantic getaway
or a special event. The area also
features local eateries, bars, and
scenic walking trails.
Speaking at the
launch of their new tours Director,
Jaynie Kean, explained why they’d chosen
to invest in the Tastings Bar and The
Steadings "We’ve been overwhelmed by the
interest in our distillery and the
spirits we craft here. We’ve had
visitors from across the UK, Europe,
North America and even the Far East and
we want to give them an experience that
reflects the skill and love that goes
into our products. Our Tastings Bar is a
beautiful room where visitors can enjoy
a selection of our spirits at the end of
one of our tours, or they can hire the
space for a private function or tasting.
The idea for our new cottages came from
a conversation with a visitor who told
us how much they’d love to stay in a
distillery. Distilleries are
fascinating, and ours is a wonderful mix
of new and traditional. Our tours are
more interactive than some others too,
we really want to give visitors
something they’ll remember, a ‘RAER
Moment’ as we like to call it.”
