Whisky Focus - InchDairnie Distillery Signs UK Distribution Deal With Disaronno

In whisky business news, InchDairnie Distillery, the makers of RyeLaw Fife Single Grain Scotch Whisky, has entered into a three-year distribution agreement with Disaronno International UK Ltd. The company is renowned as the brand owners and distributors of the globally acclaimed Disaronno Italian Liqueur and Tia Maria Coffee Liqueur.

Expanding on an already fruitful collaboration, InchDairnie's range is presently distributed by their partners in Benelux, Disaronno International B.V., known for their expertise in brand development and consumer-focused innovation. This partnership has led to numerous notable brand events, including an exclusive launch at the Harbour Club in Rotterdam.

For those of you not yet familiar with Ryelaw Fife single grain whisky it is result of years of meticulous planning by InchDairnie distillery founder Ian Palmer. His single-minded approach to using innovative materials, methods and maturation practices has resulted in a spicy rye flavour that is unlike any other Scotch whisky. These include:

• 53% malted rye and 47% malted barley ground extra finely for maximum flavour extraction
   
• Cereals mashed using a Meura mash filter, one of only two used in Scotland
  Fermented using a rye-specific yeast, which results in lower yields, but higher flavour
   
• Double distilled in pot stills - not continuous distillation – the first with rare, double condensers and the second a bespoke Lomond Hill still, designed by Ian Palmer alongside stillmaker, Frilli (it is the only precision distilled rye Scotch whisky made in this way)
   
• Matured in charred new oak casks, created from trees that can be traced back to forests in the Ozark Mountains, USA

RyeLaw is produced by the InchDairnie Distillery Ltd, and is the only product currently available from the Company. Following the debut of RyeLaw in Spring 2023, InchDairnie Distillery has achieved distribution in various international markets, including Global Travel Retail. They were honoured with the Newcomer of the Year award at the 2023 Scottish Whisky Awards and are presently in the process of expanding the distillery with plans to double its capacity within the next few years.
