Whisky Advent Calendar For The
Distillers One Of One Auction which
contains a full bottle of a rare 51 Year
old sherry cask matured Scotch blended
whisky.
Today, the House
of Hazelwood, revered custodians of rare
whisky, alongside the esteemed furniture
craftsmen LINLEY, unveil their
extraordinary whisky masterpiece:
"Christmas at Hazelwood." This
exceptional creation is set to be
auctioned at the world's most
prestigious and extensive charitable
event, "The Distillers One of One"
Auction, in partnership with Sotheby's
on Thursday, October 5th, 2023.
Taking inspiration from the Gordon
family's ancestral residence, Hazelwood
House, and meticulously handcrafted from
sycamore, walnut, and brass by LINLEY
Design, the House of Hazelwood presents
"Christmas at Hazelwood" (estimated
value: £24,000). This architectural
marvel takes the form of an Advent
Calendar, with 24 numbered advent doors,
each concealing a 50ml measure of every
House of Hazelwood whisky released to
date. Additionally, behind one of these
doors, a full 70cl bottle of an
exclusive 51 Year Old sherry cask
matured blend awaits, destined to be
opened and savoured on Christmas Day.
Behind these advent doors lie rare
whiskies, including the very first
distillates from Girvan distillery, the
last remaining drops from several
shuttered distilleries, and whisky
styles that have faded into history,
impossible to recreate today. Both the
70cl whisky bottle at the core of the
box and the architectural masterpiece
itself are one-of-a-kind creations
available exclusively through the One of
One auction.
The proceeds from this auction will be
generously donated to The Distillers'
Charity, primarily benefiting the Youth
Action Fund, which is committed to
enriching the lives of underprivileged
young individuals in Scotland. The
inaugural One of One auction in 2021 has
already raised £2.4 million, positively
impacting nearly 500 disadvantaged youth
across Scotland.
Commenting on the auction, Jonathan
Gibson, Director at House of Hazelwood,

aged Scotch whisky anywhere in the
