Whisky Focus - All's Gold For The Glenmorangie Travel Retail Exclusive Whisky Range

The frequent travellers amongst you may already know that Glenmorangie has a knack of turning out some very impressive stuff in travel retail so it will come as no surprise to hear that every whisky in Glenmorangie's exclusive Travel Retail range has been lauded in a recent industry competition which rewards excellence in the category. At the recent Global Travel Retail Spirits Masters, the Highland Distillery’s single malts picked up four prestigious gold medals – and a coveted Master award.

The Spirits Business magazine’s editor Amy Hopkins, who chaired the competition, said: "Glenmorangie’s four gold medals and one coveted Master accolade show that travelling whisky lovers should get to the airport early to get their hands on something special.2

Glenmorangie has created five expressions especially for travelling consumers to discover. Each of these was blind-tasted by independent judges at the competition, which is part of The Global Spirits Masters. The panel was delighted by Glenmorangie Tayne, from the Distillery’s Legends Collection. Singling it out for a rare Master award, they described the whisky as "pure class" and praised its “"uxurious texture and malty character". They also gave gold medals to the collection’s two other permanent releases, Glenmorangie Duthac and Glenmorangie Cadboll.

Further gold's went to Glenmorangie 19 Years Old and to Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1993.
