Glenmorangie
launches photography stage of the Cask Masters
programme were renowned photographer
will create iconic launch photography
inspired by images submitted by
Glenmorangie whisky fans.
Glenmorangie
have now launched the fourth and
penultimate stage of their
online Glenmorangie Cask Masters
whisky creation programme which gives whisky fans the
chance to design their own whisky and
win some incredible prizes at each stage
of the programme.
The story so far from the first three
stages of the programme is - whisky fans
selected a whisky which was extra
matured in Manzanilla casks, they then
chose the name Glenmorangie Taghta for
the new whisky and in stage three they
picked a design for for the bottle and
packaging.
Now in stage four, you will have the
chance to influence the photography.
Glenmorangie are now asking whisky fans
to help them create the composition of
their final promotional photo. Each
element will represent part of the
journey they've taken with Taghta.
To perhaps give you a bit of an insight
into what Glenmorangie will be looking
for see the promotional photo of Glenmorangie's
recently released Companta which was
photographed by world-renowned
photographer Kevin Mackintosh, Kevin
will be creating images inspired by the
pictures which are submitted.
From this week, you
can upload photographs to three online moodboards accessed at
www.glenmorangie.com/caskmasters each
with a different theme:
- Chosen by Many
- From Spain to Scotland
- Pioneering Innovation
These three themes relate to the
innovative crowd-managed nature of the
Cask Masters programme and also to the
whisky itself, Taghta, which has been
extra matured in Manzanilla sherry
butts.
World-renowned photographer Kevin
Mackintosh will then create three
stunning public-inspired images which
will be put to an online vote. The
result will be used in promotional shots
for the new whisky and form the
centrepiece of the worldwide marketing
campaign.
You can submit images until 2nd
February. The photographer Kevin
Mackintosh then has until 19th February
to produce three “beauty shots” which
will be put to an online vote, ending on
9 March.
The chosen winner of the photography
stage will receive a framed limited
edition print and they'll have the
opportunity to explore their own
creativity with a professional Nikon
D7100 DSLR digital camera.
Photography is the penultimate stage in
Glenmorangie’s world first Cask Masters
whisky creation programme which aims to
get members of the public involved in
helping to shape all elements of a new
single malt whisky.
Cask Masters is the brainchild of
Glenmorangie’s Dr Bill Lumsden, Director
of Distilling & Whisky Creation, who is
accompanied on each step of the five
step process by an expert in each field.
Kevin Mackintosh said: "I’m really
looking forward to what the Glenmorangie
fans across the globe come up with. I
usually travel the world seeking
inspiration for my photographic
compositions but in this case the world
is coming to me."
This is the fourth and penultimate stage
in the programme, with the final stage
being the selection of the worldwide
launch venue. Whisky fans can expect the
new Limited Edition Glenmorangie Taghta
whisky to be ready for release in the
autumn of 2014.
