Whisky fans
asked to vote for design of new
Glenmorangie Taghta, and you can win a
Apple iMac.

The Glenmorangie Cask Masters
programme has now reached the design
stage, the programme which was launched
in March 2013 gives whisky enthusiasts
worldwide the chance to be involved in
the creation of a new whisky: from
selecting the actual liquid, to naming,
to designing the packaging, photography
and even influencing the location of the
launch event, unfortunately Glenmorangie
will be choosing the price of the new
whisky themselves but I guess us whisky
fans can't get to choose everything.
So far the Glenmorangie's whisky fans have selected the whisky from a choice of three casks, they selected a whisky which had been extra-matured in exclusive Manzanilla sherry casks.
Whisky fans then selected the name Taghta (pronounced Tuh-ta), Gaelic for Chosen, after thousands of suggestions were whittled down to a shortlist of three names which were translated by Gaelic expert Dr Aonghas MacCoinnich and put to an online vote.
Then, following a month-long period when whisky fans worldwide uploaded pictures and design ideas to a special online gallery, three new packaging designs have been produced by branding expert Jon Davies from leading London design agency Butterfly Cannon.
Today these three designs
(see picture above) are put to the public vote with Glenmorangie fans able to choose the label and carton which, from next September, will be available for online purchases world-wide.
To get involved in the selection process and place your vote simply visit www.glenmorangie.com/caskmasters. Voting will close on 6th January 2014 and the chosen packaging will be revealed on the 7th January.
One of the voters will win an Apple iMac!
