The Glenlivet
unveils second new permanent addition to
the Glenlivet Nądurra range.
 Fans
of the The Glenlivet Nądurra will be
pleased to hear that The Glenlivet has
unveiled a second new permanent addition
to in its popular and highly rated Nądurra range.
The Glenlivet
Nądurra First Fill Selection which was
100% matured in American White Oak casks
that have never before been used to
mature Scotch whisky, as you
would expect with first fill casks they
impart hints of creamy vanilla to this
wonderfully rich single malt.
The Glenlivet Nądurra First Fill
Selection is bottled at cask strength and will be available
around the world including within
the UK, US and Sweden, it will be rolling out from
September 2014, priced at £50 (US $80).
A travel retail exclusive version of the
Glenlivet Nądurra First Fill Selection
expression will also be available and
like the other travel retail exclusive
Nądurra expressions it will be bottled
at 48% ABV and you will be pleased to
hear in a 1 litre bottle.
The Nądurra First Fill Selection release follows the initial launch
of
The Glenlivet Nądurra Oloroso
48% ABV expression in
Travel Retail Europe in May this year,
this travel retail exclusive whisky is
now being joined by a new cask strength
edition in the domestic market. As well
as the UK, US and Swedish domestic
markets, The
Glenlivet Nądurra Oloroso Cask Strength
will also enter other markets
including India, Canada and Taiwan, priced at
£46 (US $75).
These new permanent expressions showcase
the versatility and multi-layered
quality of The Glenlivet, whilst meeting
the growing demand for handcrafted
single malt whiskies with an interesting
twist. All expressions in the
Nądurra range are bottled without
chill-filtration, offering the
additional complexity, body and texture
of a whisky that has just been drawn
from the cask.
The production methods,
combined with maturation in first-fill
American Oak casks, imparts The
Glenlivet Nądurra First Fill Selection
with an inviting aroma of soft vanilla,
fudge and sweet, ripe pears, developing
into a tropical mix of pineapple, banana
and citrus on the palate and leading to
a refreshing finish.
The Glenlivet Nądurra First Fill
Selection Cask Strength and The
Glenlivet Nądurra Oloroso Cask Strength
will be available from this month at
specialist online whisky shops such as
The Whisky Exchange,

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose: Creamy sweet vanilla fudge, fresh pear,
coconut, touch of oak
spice.
Taste: Big barley sugar candy sweetness, vanilla, zesty
oranges and lemon, pineapple, a lovely
light
touch of oak spice hanging around the
background.
Finish: Refreshingly long.
More vanilla and candied fruit, the oak
spice comes more to the fore but is kept
in check by the sweet candied fruit.
Comment:
I love it, it is like 2 of my favourite
Glenlivet whiskies have come together - the
Glenlivet 12 First Fill travel retail
exclusive and the Glenlivet Nądurra. A
must try for any Glenlivet drinker or
indeed any single malt drinker.
