10 new Glenfiddich Archive Collection whiskies have been unveiled in the second annual release in this series, including a Global Travel Retail exclusive bottling, the Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1990 33 Year Old American Oak Hogshead Cask No. 24050.

The second annual release from the Glenfiddich Archive Collection has been revealed, featuring ten of the distillery's finest, rarest, and most intriguing whiskies from the past fifty years. Crafted by generations of William Grant's descendants, this series of single casks represents a journey through the decades. This month, July 2024, one of those whiskies, a Glenfiddich Archive Collection 1990 33 Year Old American Oak Hogshead Cask No. 24050, hand-selected by the Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman, will be launched exclusively for Global Travel Retail in partnership with Gebr. Heinemann.

These whiskies narrate the story of the World’s Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, capturing the essence of Glenfiddich’s craft and character while preserving the core DNA of the Speyside whisky maker. The Archive Collection aims to seamlessly merges Glenfiddich's innovative spirit with its rich history, showcasing the heritage and evolution of craftsmanship, and the transfer of knowledge and expertise.

Bottled at 54.4% ABV, a total of 276 bottles of The Glenfiddich Archive Collection American Oak Hogshead 1990 33 Year Old have been designated for the travel retail market. These bottles will be available exclusively at Gebr. Heinemann stores located in Frankfurt, Istanbul, and Amsterdam Schiphol Airports. You can also opt for a click-and-collect service through www.heinemann-shop.com, the whisky has a recommended retail selling price of €3,990.

Nose: A delicate aroma with floral, sweet pea and clean jasmine notes. Summer fruits and a barley sugar sweetness.

Taste: The initial flavour is mellow with a lovely creamy toffee texture. Incredibly sweet, candy floss, vanilla oak and some subtle hints of spice and cloves.

Finish: Long lasting sweetness with a hint of spice.
