Has anyone tried the Glenallachie 18yo? Is it worth buying? I’ve tried a number of bottles from Glenallachie & I really enjoyed the 15yo, 12yo & 10yo Port Wood finish.

I liked it but not in the class of the Glendronach 18, £85 for the Glenallachie 18 at MoM at the moment which is around £20 cheaper than the Glendronach 18 which I suppose is fair.

I've heard a lot of folk raving about the 15yr. So if you;re a big fan of that then the price jump to the 18yr may not be justified for you. Definitely one to try a wee taste of in a bar or shop if distancing measures in your area permit. _________________ Inverness Whisky

I wasn't taken by the Glenallachie 15, it was ok but I wouldn't rave about it, It actually put me off going for the 18 although I have been told that the 18 is worth trying.

I do enjoy a glenallachie, but have never tried the 18. I’ve tended to go down the single cask route as there are several choices and I guess I bit more exclusive means it’s a nice to have.
