| I was looking at this last week in the news section http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/glenrotheshalloweenedition2019.htm my experience of Glenrothes has been mixed, hit or miss, more miss sadly, my last Glenrothes bottlings were the travel retail Mans Reserve and Elders Reserve and both were poor particularly the sulphur tainted Elders Reserve. They have kind of put me off taking a risk on Glenrothes without first reading some good reviews. |

| Fair enough, I bought 2 of the first Halloween bottling. Sherry cask finish. I think the black bottle put me off as I was expecting it heavily sherried , it wasn't. Still decent enough considering it was a limited release 13 year old whisky for £50 |

If anyone is interested in the Glenrothes 2019 Halloween Edition and missed out when it was released on the 13th October, Edrington contacted me today to say that although the Halloween Edition 2019 initially went on sale at midnight on 13 October and sold out within 24 hours The Glenrothes will release 130 additional bottles on Friday 18th October from 9am BST at www.theglenrothes.com. _________________ There's no bad whisky.
