The
Glenrothes unveils a spooky 13 year old
Halloween Edition single malt.

Since its inception, The Glenrothes
distillery in Rothes has shared its plot
of land with the town's graveyard. Day
and night, as life begins and ends, The
Glenrothes continues to birth new make
spirit and lay down whisky to mature in
oak casks.
It is a historic fact that Scotland is
actually the birthplace of Halloween and
the ways we celebrate Halloween today
are deeply rooted in ancient traditions
and forgotten rituals that were forged
in Scotland.
Ghosts and spirits are entwined with the
long history of The Glenrothes: the
distillery is situated on an ancient leyline, next to the Rothes graveyard,
and has records of their very own
hauntings telling the tale of Scotland’s
forgotten Halloween, restoring the
mystique and mystery to a deeply
Scottish celebration.
This year they are marking Halloween at
The Glenrothes distillery with the
launch of The Glenrothes Halloween
Edition 2019, a 13 Year Old (of course)
limited release of 5,000 bottles, with a
theme of ‘Ghosts and Guising’.
The Glenrothes Halloween Edition 2019 is
a spooky secret for now. The limited
edition launch will be available to buy
from The Glenrothes website from 13th
October 2019, the price also appears to
be a spooky secret for now but I guess
all will be revealed on the 13th October
and no it is not a Friday, I checked.
You will also find the current
Glenrothes whisky range
available from specialist online whisky
retailers such as
The Whisky Exchange,
The Whisky Shop and
Master of Malt
