Highland Park has announced the launch of its latest premium single malt whisky, The Earl Magnus Edition 1 - a perfectly-balanced natural strength bottling taken from hand selected casks from the turn of the last century. And the good thing it is a bit more affordable than their new ultra premium Orcadian Vintage Series.
Release date will be late November 2009, this 15 year old single malt is from 1994 and earlier years. It was bottled at a strength of 52.6% ABV and has a RRP of £85
Tasting Note
Colour: Golden honey, clear and bright.
Nose: Cedarwood and lemon. Mango chunks with hints of ginger and cinnamon bark.
Palate: Vanilla, balanced smokiness, milk chocolate and crystallised ginger.
Finish: Medium sweet with lingering spiciness.

Hi Mac
The only info i received from Highland Park is that it was getting released in the UK market in late November but i will certainly ask them if it will be available in the US market. I havent even got an image of it yet, when HP told about it it hadnt been packaged yet. I will also enquire how limited the release is.
