Benriach Single Cask Batch 16 Unveiled

Benriach has unveiled Batch 16 in its popular series of single cask bottlings, this latest batch includes 16 unpeated and 8 peated single cask bottlings aged from 7 to 33 years which have matured in a selection of cask types sourced from around the world including Tokaji wine, oloroso sherry, pedro ximénez, port, claret, madeira, sauternes, virgin oak, South African red wine, Jamaican rum, rioja, Sicilian Marsala, and bourbon.

A few tempting offerings, I fancy one of the young virgin oak casks, one of the oloroso casks and perhaps the 2005 peated port for something different.

Overly tempted by the peated marsala cask. Not so tempted to commit £230 blind, but I'll def keep an open eye for reviews.

I do like the peated Benriachs so perhaps the peated virgin oak, peated port and peated rum for me, I will look out for reviews also.

I see The Whisky Shop is no longer taking pre-orders for the Virgin Oak Cask 6095 which you reviewed William, I was just going to order one but it does say stock is due 8th July so I will check back with them if I cant grab a bottle elsewhere
