Review of the
BenRiach 2005 Cask No. 3791 14 Year Old
Port Pipe matured single cask whisky.
 The
BenRiach 2005 Cask No. 3791 14 Year Old is one of
24 new limited edition
whiskies in Batch 16 of BenRiach's
popular Single Cask series of whiskies.
A peated distillation distilled on 23rd
February 2005 and fully matured
for 14 years in a Port Pipe it was selected by
BenRiach
Master Blender, Rachel Barrie as part of
this latest batch of single cask
releases.
Non chill-filtered and natural colour
this Marsala cask matured whisky was
bottled at 55.3% ABV, it is a limited
release of 272 bottles and will be
available from specialist whisky shops
as The Whisky Exchange,
The Whisky Shop
and
Master of Malt while stocks last.

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Caramel infused with a lovely gentle
sweet peat smoke, a little vanilla and
orange, some distant pepper
Taste:
Deliciously juicy raisin and orange
infused with equally delicious sweet
peat smoke fills the mouth.
Finish:
The port and peat infused sugars simply
linger for an age before finally fading
to leave a little pepper, a very gentle
touch of liquorice and some mildly
drying oak.
Comment:
Loved it, a delicious peated port pipe
matured dram that you would be hard
pushed to better, I will be seeking out
more of this for myself.
